DISABLED FRIENDS!

My partner Ashley, who has CRPS and has an implant that needs special handling at security, just went through a really shitty experience with airport security at Melbourne T4.

This is not the first time, and not the first time I've heard of disabled travellers being badly treated, manhandled, having their mobility aids taken away, being disbelieved or outright abused and traumatised just for having the temerity to travel while disabled.

I want to do something about it.

Please, if you have stories of being mistreated by airport security, and are comfortable sharing, I want to get a joint letter going to the Departments and Ministers responsible (Dept of Infrastructure, Minister for Disabilities, Border Force) and maybe try to stop this shit happening.
