I threw such a tantrum when there were no chickens that my grandparents that raised me had to add three ceramic chickens to the fireplace mantel's nativity set
To this day, 50 years later, many people in my family have three chickens in their nativity displays and have no understanding why except that is the way the family patriarchs of the 1970s 80's and part of the 90s did it and they followed suit.
