Bad ways to end a chapter – frustrated gibberish from keyboard pounding, breaking the fourth wall and swearing at your own characters for their lack of motivation, writing [put something interesting here] and forgetting to do it.
A lovely little day today. Attended a sign-language class, picked bub up from daycare, lots of cuddles, two no-cry naps, cooked, cleaned, working on my PhD now while he kips. It's not always this easy but my goodness it's nice when it is.
Tonight my little cousin did my makeup. We talked about how all actors wear makeup, even if you can't tell. We talked about cosplay makeup, and then I showed him a photo of a drag queen and told him what contouring is.

a) It looked terrible and
b) I was completely overwhelmed by how to manage it and
c) it had a blog feature and it turns out I am Not A Blogger.

Took a day off yesterday. Even got a massage for the first time in 10 years...and then daycare called me 15 minutes in because bub had an allergy rash. So much for that!
Back to the regular schedule now. Because my second PhD milestone is over I can get back to the muddy work of writing, both the fiction and exegetical work. My dreams are all about colonial asylums at the moment.
Was very worried my son would vomit on my blazer this morning so I walked him to daycare wrapped in towels, also very normal and sensible, no one looked at me weird at all.
Here for my presentation a full two hours early, which is very sensible and normal.
