It's easy enough to spot what's there. It's *much* harder to spot what's missing. And one of the things I enormously appreciate with this place and a few others is that it highlights just how many important local perspectives on a ton of different important topics just never surface there anymore.
A shifty bloke in the pub just offered me the chance to read 200 extra tweets for a tenner.
Imagine how stupid you have to be to take your web site which traffics in popular posts driving engagement, and disincentivize 99% of your users from loading the most popular posts with the most interest around them because it will eat their daily allotment of reads if they do.
Another day of bubba and paw paw and chickens and Maggie on CNN and MSNBC all day...really? I get it that this Murdaugh stuff is bizarre and some people are glued to the testimony, but is it truly "nonstop nationwide coverage on major cable news outlets" worthy?
