🧵1/12 Today was my work business area's conference. I was asked to speak about #ADHD and empowerment and how my boss and I work to create a good environment for me. Below is a little of what I covered.
It would be a good time to put serious financial backing behind Black-owned social media platform cooperatives. Yeah?

I facilitate a 10 hour workshop focused on dream work, and shoring up our relationship to our dreaming and intuition in service of contemplative, creative and healing processes

Dream Workshop — What A Shrink Thinks

Exploring dreams as a creative, contemplative, and community-building practice

What A Shrink Thinks
1. You can catch Covid multiple times.
2. Reinfections are common, not rare.
3. Breakthrough infections are common.
4. Covid can kill you months after you recover.
5. It can cause brain damage.
6. It can cause blood clots and heart attacks.
7. It doesn’t spare children.
8. Vaccines help, but only some.
9. Masks work.

The science communication problem is that both are true:

- On an individual basis, the COVID vaccines are very effective at preventing severe outcomes

- On a population level, COVID vaccines alone are not enough to prevent a high death level, we need public health measures too

Introducing myself!

I’m a litigator by training who changed careers around a decade ago to write a story I’d been running from all my life. That story is now a book, THE KNEELING MAN, slated for publication in April 2023.

It concerns this man (my father) in this photograph:

This pinned thread will provide information about my various interests, projects, workshops, publications etc for those who may be interested:

First place to start is to look around at my website:

With paying bills and getting any household cleaners or essential food items we need (shouldn’t be necessary but just in case) not involved in the equation, I plan on doing ZERO spending on Black Friday. We’re going for a walk & getting books at the library instead. We’re going to purge unused stuff for donation or recycling. We’re going to deep clean. We’re going to self-care. We’re going to hike around. #NoBuyBlackFriday

In 2007 @[email protected] and I randomly met at a book sale table at the Barnes & Noble in Pittsford, NY and have been together ever since.

This is us at that same table 15 years later.

It turns out if you pose for pictures in a B&N and burst into tears, people will stare
