Some org (who I will name after this poll ends) published this poll on Twitter (🙄). They used the results to try to validate their POV on AI theft.

Though it won’t provide meaningful research data, I am curious to see how Mastodon responds.

(Please boost so we can get good numbers. 🙌🏻)

Question: should openly licensed content (images, music, research, etc.) be used to train AI systems? (Reply with reasoning if you feel called.)

#AI #ArtificialIntelligence #Art #Music #Copyright

Yes
No

@captainrob so they invaded Poland to stall for time, huh I see. and then they installed a puppet government there after the war just for kicks? If you send me a more neutral podcast (one without Stalin speech with a soppy background for the first 10 min) I'll listen to it.

also you do know that russia occupied Poland since between the partitions of Poland and WW1 right?

socialism exists outside of any single country, just like capitalism is.

you are associating it with an evil empire

Wednesday, it's Captain!

(see https://mathstodon.xyz/@Scmbradley/114676343373917170, https://infosec.exchange/@isotopp/114680337675015896, now posted from a proper computer with a keyboard and edit tools instead of a cellphone, and on an actual Wednesday)

@kevinrothrock and of course it goes without saying this is tragic, and even more so to remember back 2-3 years ago feeling horror that they appeared to shift to targeting civilians. now it barely makes the news it's so common place.

@kevinrothrock I'd really be interested in a Naked Pravda episode on the use of bombing strategy that Russia employs and how it changes depending on the conflict they're in (or how much they are winning or losing). Is there a particular doctrine to destroy as much civilian infrastructure as possible while they're not gaining much ground. Is there a rise in targeting cultural/educational institutions.

how does it compare to US bombing strategies. etc. and historic Russian bombing strategy. etc

how the world has changed, or not changed. Photo cameras are somewhat better I guess.

"Retaliation" headlines are a gift to the kremlin-and a betrayal of #Ukraine

by Alya Shandra

Three years of systematic slaughter doesn’t become “retaliation” because Ukraine finally fought back.

Retaliation? No—Russia's bombs are the continuation of a genocidal war - Euromaidan Press

After Ukraine hit Russian bombers, Moscow bombed apartments. Media called it "retaliation." Here's why that helps Putin win.

Euromaidan Press

This is Ukrainian soldier after captivity. The russians carved "Glory to russia" on his stomach.

Russia has no place in the civilized world.

@VeroniqueB99

It's really sad on one hand, but as they say, flowers of joy can grow in the darkest places, and in this case, she has her high school graduation.

May her future hopefully continue to grow in peace soon. ☘️

@VeroniqueB99 Well, destruction is a despots way of influencing the world because it is all they have to offer

@Undefined

Beautiful girl and it shouldn’t have been like this. Makes me sad 😔

@VeroniqueB99 Beauty among ruins... 🤩
still sad there is no other option to enjoy 😞
@VeroniqueB99 The only thing that is in ruin is the degenerate Russian imperial spirit

@VeroniqueB99
Tragic, any day, any time, any where.
But it is important to note that this is from IG June 2022:

@ariannahuff
Anna Episheva was going to wear this prom dress when she graduated high school this year in #Ukraine. This is what her school looks like now. Even in the tragedy of the present, there are moments of beauty and hope for the future.

This photo will gain a reward one day - HISTORICAL‼️

@VeroniqueB99
This photo states enormously powerful the brutality and cruelty of these times, as well as hope and bravery.
A deep bow before Ukraine!
