@MW1CFN I made do with the live stream. Always enjoy watching that machine come to life step by step.
@G0TRT my daughter made her Christmas list on Google Slides complete with hyperlinks 🀣
@MW1CFN unfortunately I didn't receive anything today. 😞
If speculations on the Amsat-bb list are correct, #hamradio #satellite FO-99 has re-entered. With its fast and deep QSB, it wasn't one of my favourite "birds." I've only had a handful of QSOs using it, but kept trying it anyway, so I feel sad to lose it. Its published schedules, for which one probably needed a PhD to understand when it was going to be on, were just legendary @M5JFS and I will never get another chance to complete that QSO via FO-99 πŸ™‚ Thanks #jarl for operating it for so long.

@MW1CFN that reply was to my post on their forum - a fascinating insight into the work they were doing.

I have watched several of their streams and the startup/shutdown procedure feels akin to a pilot's pre-flight checklist or the countdown sequence to a rocket launch.

A truly incredible machine.

@M0KHR my issue is with the Windows version. I've given up for now and am using SDRConnect.

Talking of which, it took an age for me to work out how to make SDRConnect run in server mode on boot on my Raspberry Pi4. There seem to be a billion different ways to start a process at boot time, but it took an age to find the one that worked in this case.

I like Linux but I'm not expert enough to do stuff without lots of trial and error and help from Google.

@M0KHR urgh was that on Linux?
