#COVID19 continues to decline in the US. We are now, according to WastewaterSCAN data, FAR below the lowest levels we've seen in two years.
In the past two years, the lowest average COVID level in U.S. wastewater was 99.79 PMMoV. Today, we're at 68.36 PMMoV.
While the WastewaterSCAN data is partial, it suggests COVID may be almost a third lower than it's been in two years.
The lack of a significant mutation seems to be contributing to a significant fall trough in the US.
A new study finds that #COVID19 infections age blood vessels, especially for women. The aging is equivalent to five years, causing stiffer blood vessels and increasing cardiovascular risks.
Not sure how often you want to get a virus that ages your blood vessels, damages brains, and appears to lift cancer risks. But based on the photos I see on social media, with people traveling and at events without masks, the answer is that many folks think they can get it often.

I post a lot about #COVID19 risks based on wastewater data. Periodically, someone pops into my thread to suggest wastewater surveillance isn't reliable due to different variants. A new STUDY finds that “estimates of selective advantage and reproduction numbers derived from wastewater maintain their advantages over traditional clinical data, even when there are differences in shedding among variants.”
Epidemiological estimates from wastewater are not biased by testing rates but may be subject to other biases. Here, the authors investigate the impact of variable virus shedding profiles for different SARS-CoV-2 variants on estimates of their selection advantage.
Last month was the 3rd hottest July on record globally. It was somewhere around 1.25°C above 1850-1900 levels. There was significant variability in the pattern of anomalies across different regions.

The Trump administration has not only deleted all previous National #Climate Assessment reports from government websites and fired the scientists working on the next iteration, but now say they're going to go back and rewrite the previous reports, all of which were written by real scientists and independently reviewed.
This is scientific sabotage and a rewriting of accepted history and science.
