@Logintaken oh my yes.
Like many others, having been the recipient of some of destructive reviews, I strive to find what works, offer some initial choices in how to strengthen it, then let the authors know that there are likely other strategies. I've reviewed essays for journals but not a book. I thought maybe my approach for the former could be ok for the latter.
I am glad you offered this as a tip, as it is very important. Apparently it may not be practiced enough.
Thank you!

Some Mastodon tips I've learned:

- You need a fit, young hunting party
- They are not easy to bring down, so make sure your spears have extremely sharp tips
- Ensure you have a supply line and pack animals available to transport the meat and pelt back to the cave

Former spiral galaxies NGC 4038 and NGC 4039 –– the Antennae Galaxies –– are a few hundred million years into a merger that will result in a single, elliptical galaxy.

One of the things that I think is sad about the decimation of Twitter eng is that Twitter was doing a lot of interesting (and high ROI) eng work that, at younger companies, is mostly outsourced at great cost.

A few examples off the top of my head:

The now gutted HWENG group was so good at server design that, in a meeting with Intel, the Intel folks couldn't believe the power envelope Twitter achieved and Google thought we were lying about our costs during cloud price negotiations.

I think it's glorious that there's now a Mastodon server operated by people who used to work for Twitter (macaw.social). I could have never imagined it when I started in 2016.

Getting off Twitter, part 2:

Building your Mastodon network by regularly using tools like

• Debirdify
https://pruvisto.org/debirdify/

• Fedifinder
https://fedifinder.glitch.me/

• Twitodon
https://twitodon.com/

to find your #Twitter friends on Mastodon.

#Debirdify and #Fedifinder work by looking for Mastodon information in your Twitter friends account information. #Twitodon looks for previous use of the Twitodon tool itself among your Twitter friends.
