I am a taxpayer and I support the JNU students' struggle for affordable education. I demand that the central govt should spend tax revenues on providing free education to all rather than on statues, cow ambulances & on advertising the PM's face.

Despite being in police custody, JNU students are true to their politics of education for all.

At Kalkaji police station, Students distributed pamphlets explaining why they are protesting against fee hike. Here are the police reading it.

"This toxic combination of deep distrust, pervasive fear and a sense of hopelessness in our society is stifling economic activity, and hence, economic growth."
"The tearing of our social fabric of trust is the fountainhead of our current economic malaise."
Weak oil prices and a slowing global economy is giving us a once-in-a-generation economic opportunity to leapfrog others and we seem hell bent on giving this a pass.

The whole issue with pollution is that it's extremely complex. It's discontinuous, it's localised, it changes in three dimensions and time, it has multiple causes of various kinds. There are many different aspects even to air pollution, each of which needs to be resolved with different strategy. It's going to be comprehensive and long.

Interestingly it points out that #birdsite bended to the govt requests of removing content 131 times (4700 requests) since 2017 versus 1 time out of 900 requests prior to that. We can see the way this will end up on the bird site. #india #introduction

The city of Jaipur was beautifully built with a grid plan more than 300 years ago. The spacious pedestrian spaces and focus on walkability should really make any modern Urban Planner question if we've made progress at all?

Saddened to hear of the passing away of former chief election commissioner TN Seshan. They don't make people like him anymore.
