Took a short hike at Ankeny WIldlife Refuge today. Watched a small hawk quarrel with a bazillion swallows and saw this Lorquin's which I especially appreciated since they won't be around much longer.

Meta won't let people delete their Threads account unless they also delete their Instagram account. That's Meta's Berlin Wall around Threads, designed (though they will have lots of "technical" reasons why it isn't) to prevent Threads users leaching into the Fediverse.
The wall must fall.

It doesn't matter the origin or the manufacturer, this trend of compressed sawdust and paper junk needs to stop. I wouldn't care if composites were actually good, but it's mostly garbage
