My intro? I work on American literature and culture after 1900. I'm the author of Reading the Obscene (Stanford UP 2021), and I'm wrapping up a book on science fiction and the alt-right. Originally from KY, I now teach in Tacoma, WA. I'm also a volunteer researcher for UNITE HERE Local 11 and an assistant editor at the Los Angeles Review of Books.
