Almost every day, this hummingbird shows up to lick my filthy office window. I wasn’t fast enough to catch its tongue, but I’ve observed it stick out its tongue and contact the window repeatedly. I guess dirty windows are a salt block for hummingbirds?
All the desert #bloomscrolling from March. We had a pretty wet winter that warmed up early. The flowers have been ecstatic. I saved seeds from the penstemon (3rd) to distribute around my neighborhood.
Another off grid weekend in the Chiricahuas. Still laughing about the dude who abandoned his wife in a desperate but unsuccessful attempt to keep us from passing him. It’s all in your head, bro. People are weird.
They actually do break down, and can be used in compost here - in moderation. This is one bin of seven at one facility of twelve across the city, so these will be well mixed.
