I recently returned to the Video Game History Foundation podcast to chat about the comprehensive history of the unreleased Nintendo Knitting Machine. Have a listen! https://gamehistory.org/ep-117-nintendo-knitting-machine/
Ep. 117: Nintendo Knitting Machine | Video Game History Foundation

Historian Racheil Weil returns to the show to discuss the Nintendo Knitting Machine, a never released knitting machine toy powered by the NES. In this episode: Sega Master System smack talk; flier breakdown; just…why?; dissociating like a TV doctor; analyzing the evidence: what’s real, how it might work, peripheral material, screen capture; and bless the…

I volunteer at Austin Creative Reuse, which is a reclamation and resale shop for art and craft supplies. I primarily work to test and repair electronics so they can be kept out of landfill and resold at a low price. We process a ton of older plotter/cutter machines like Cameos and Cricuts. (I put six on the floor today, ranging from $4-$30.) We see quite a few sewing machines come in, too.

Look to see if there's a creative reuse center where you live—I'm a big supporter!

I made some custom firmware for one of my Eurorack modules to imbue it with the sounds of the NES, Animal Crossing gyroids, and the Casio Loopy. Then, I made a video about it! Here it is!

This might not be a particularly effective place for this, but I’m finishing my mfa program in *shivers* a couple of weeks and I’m moving back to Austin. I am looking for work! I’m a media art and games generalist. No bl*ckchain bullshit pls. ❤️ https://wileywiggins.com

I'm so terribly pleased that folks have been enjoying Carousel for DOS! Thank you for giving it a try. It really means a lot to me.

If you're thinking about picking it up, the price has been perma-reduced to $10 USD, and there are still a handful of prize keys remaining.

And if "free" is more your speed these days, I've also been uploading some old NES demos and source code with no minimum purchase price.

Moving out of my 10-year-long "I make tools to teach and inspire others" phase and into my "I make things to teach and inspire myself" phase.

With the Casio Loopy BIOS now dumped, the ability to emulate the obscure 90s console has improved by leaps and bounds.
