On this day 46 years ago Mt. St. Helens in Washington State erupted blowing off half the mountain. The explosion shook the windows in my home in Canada over 500km away.

A small idea of the destruction can be seen in this photo taken three months later. This was about as far up the mountain as the public could get.

June 24, 1979. Before the Devo concert at the PNE Garden in #Vancouver. I have no idea who the couple in the picture are.

My band photos from that night are terrible. But this stands out. The vibe was incredible and the audience went nuts. Pointed Sticks opened.

Love the film projector by the mixing board.
