I'm revising a position description in my public university library. A number of job duties as currently stated are to "oversee" — e.g., oversee training, oversee budget, &c.

Is that sensitive enough that we ought to change it to variants like 'supervise' or 'administer'?

For a time I attended a congregation whose "Ministry & Oversight" committee got renamed because to some its name evoked overseers.
