I report an AI ad to google claiming to sell 32TB SSDs for less than the price of a bottle of beer.
"We decided not to take this ad down. We found that the ad doesn't go against
Google's policies, which prohibit certain content and practices that we
believe to be harmful to users and the overall online ecosystem."
Same happened before with fake GenAI endorsement ads.
Google Trust & Safety is a joke.
Strangely, I only get these types of ads when I'm at my parents'.
So, google-chrome is sneakily downloading a >2.5GB local-AI model over my tethered-over-mobile wifi connection without showing up in its task manager.
If the connection gets disrupted (because, you know, it's a tethered connection,) it starts all over again. 🙁
