@djloehr @caseyliss @sarahhbickerton Huh. I wonder if I got caught with the pod playing in my pocket at some point. I must have missed that. Thanks for the show. I enjoy every time you three are on.
@caseyliss @djloehr @sarahhbickerton I just finished the latest episode of Football is Life and enjoyed your conversation around it. I was surprised though that no one mentioned what seemed like coldness between Michelle and Dr. Jacob and some warmth between her and Ted. Ted seemed thrown off at the end of the episode and I think it is a crack in the door to his possible return to the states. It may be about more than just Henry.

Pennington Seed targets NFL owners again with their #FlipTheTurf campaign. Intended to launch with the draft, this year's campaign features a conversation between George Kittle, David Bakhtiari, Will Levis and others about the benefits of grass fields for players and the environment.

Flip The Turf

It's time to swap NFL stadium turf for real grass. Pennington is challenging the NFL to protect its players and the environment by converting its artificial turf fields to real grass.

@caseyliss @1password There were some bugs that frustrated me, so I went to Last Pass for almost a year. Yikes! Bugs are now lower on my list of issues I worry about with my password manager.
@Ertain I thought Madden already did this in the simulation mode. At least in the version I had for Stadia, you could choose which week to Sim to and it would start your season with the updated roster and true to life stats and ratings adjustments. It was free though.
@xtaldave As a remote worker, I think I agree that there conclusions are a possibility, but the article doesn’t seem to account for all the other things happening at the same time as the return to office. The return of kids sports, going out to eat, vacations, church activities, concerts, theater, festivals, etc. I think there are a lot of things that have contributed to my own productivity even as I remain a remote worker.

This new album from Colony House is so, so good. A multi-repeat from beginning to end for me.

I was wondering if anyone @bookstodon has a recommendation for reading Brandon Sanderson for the first time.
I know I like sci-fi and fantasy, so that's not a problem, but I'm worried about dipping into a long, long series head on.
I was thinking about starting with Elantris, but that being a first work I'm not sure if it reflects his present habilities.
If I like my first Sando book, I then want to try with the Stormlight Archive.

@jofagobe @bookstodon I think your wise not to jump right in to the #stormlight archive. Elantris is a perfectly fine book to start with – but the cosmere tie-ins are latent.

I’d give a very serious look at starting with #Mistborn trilogy to start with. Those books are reasonably sized, the story is a lot of fun, and the sequel trilogy #waxAndWayne is ridiculously entertaining.

@jofagobe @bookstodon I’d recommend Warbreaker or the Emperor’s Soul as jumping off points. Both can be read and understood independently of his series but will add some depth to future readings. Elantris was my first read and I loved it but I was also new to fantasy adventure and that likely affected the nostalgia I feel toward it.
