#Mistborn klang vielsversprechend. Ein Deckbuilder mit guter Mechanik, die allerdings nur langsam Fahrt aufnimmt. Und welche Redaktion lässt solche Karten mit relevantem Text zu Effekten in der Größe von Ameisenspuren durchgehen? Selbst mit Sehilfe kaum zu lesen. Zu viert ist das Spiel viel zu lang.

Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson: A ton of people had told me, over the years, that I would love these books. And sure enough, as soon as I finally started reading it, I was hooked. Sure, there are some predictable elements of the story and some familiar tropes, but they were utilized well. I was more surprised that the novel came to such a strong conclusion; I expect the plot to stretch over the whole trilogy. #Mistborn #Books

Finished Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy. Thoughts:

- The magic system is detailed, consistent, and interesting.
- The ending is satisfactory. Often in fantasy the ending seems to come out of nowhere, like a mystery where the detective had clues the reader wasn't shown. The revelations make sense here.
- In this day and age, it's very weird to have only one female major character (even if she is the protagonist).
