Good people of Mastodon, I've been seeing a number of posts here that compare the Ayodhya judgment to a husband losing his wife to another man, treatment of rape victims etc. This is quite worrisome.

Women aren't property that one can win/lose claim over. Such comparisons reinforce the idea of ownership over women as passive objects. I have high hopes from this space and how we talk about women here.

So please do continue with the much-needed criticism, but please keep women out of it.

@SSangita It's from the sources and by ANI. May be a new narrative.

Modiji stares back at you."

So what we're getting in Tanhaji is a fight between the Maratha Tanhaji and Rajput Uday Bhan. Or, as the trailer for Tanhaji frames it, between the Good Hindu and the Bad Hindu.
@dpanjana Movies on history have become a joke. It's nothing more than a fiction pandering to the right wing narrative of history.
Often feel that jobless directors are chosen and given the theme of such movies.
@SSangita neither education nor intelligence is the medicine. This problem is going beyond repair.
@NSure @IndiasMuslims The existence of a mosque would have altered the judgement definitely. But I am not sure what facts can alter the current judgement unless the review petition brings a stay on the temple construction.
@ayeshamy When people sell their brains these things are bound to happen.
And that point of no return is really alarming.
@vidyut That's true and long road lies ahead. Peace seems a distant reality as of now.
@vidyut What he wants is to stay in power while his "friends" want good business. The quid pro quo works well for both. The country suffers. PSU's, economy, Kashmir the list continues.
