Good people of Mastodon, I've been seeing a number of posts here that compare the Ayodhya judgment to a husband losing his wife to another man, treatment of rape victims etc. This is quite worrisome.

Women aren't property that one can win/lose claim over. Such comparisons reinforce the idea of ownership over women as passive objects. I have high hopes from this space and how we talk about women here.

So please do continue with the much-needed criticism, but please keep women out of it.

So what we're getting in Tanhaji is a fight between the Maratha Tanhaji and Rajput Uday Bhan. Or, as the trailer for Tanhaji frames it, between the Good Hindu and the Bad Hindu.

Don't just teach your students to read.
• Teach them to question what they read, what they study.
• Teach them to doubt.
• Teach them to think.
• Teach them to make mistakes and learn from them.
• Teach them how to understand something.
• Teach them how to teach others.

Entry into the so called premier institutions in India has become difficult due to the increase in the competition. The coaching business has shifted the advantage to the well-off. Increase in the fees will be the last thing these institutes need to undergo.
Asaduddin Owisi knows politics better than some of the veteran leaders of big parties. Though he is insignificant in the number game he knows how to get the screentime and the publicity he wants. Media despite being Modia cannot ignore his statements. I believe politics is about staying relevent all the time and he has been executing it perfectly.
Retoot if you are getting more engagement here than on the Birdsite.
As promised, mastodon.social code of conduct has been updated to add "casteism and advocation of casteism" to the list of explicitly prohibited offenses

An interesting observation that I have honed last few years.

People really don't mind corruption if they see that their leaders are still doing everything to ensure that their lives are improving in due process.

@Deepsealioness please do boost.
