New Councilors will begin their terms on January 1. Please join us in thanking all our outgoing leaders!

Excited to share recently accepted review by Rauri Bowie and I in J. Heredity. We discuss how the DNA from millions of #specimens in #MuseumCollections can illuminate past population responses to anthropogenic change and uniquely inform a host of #conservation #genomics questions.

For advance access article. https://doi.org/10.1093/jhered/esac066

Look for this review along with many other exciting #ConservationGenomics papers in a special issue edited by @KZ_UTAustin appearing in J. Heredity next year.

Natural history collections as a resource for conservation genomics: understanding the past to preserve the future

New paper out thanks to hard work by a number of awesome collabs! We tested for drivers of divergence (or lack thereof) for the calls of Centrolenid frogs (aka glassfrogs). Thanks Angy for leading us!

Today seems like a great day to start the #FemaleBirdDay and #GalbatrossProject hashtags in the fediverse.

For those who are unfamiliar, my colleagues and I in the Galbatross Project have been promoting a greater appreciation for female #birds in research and #birding for the last few years.

While we called it Female Bird Day, appreciating female birds is 24/7/365!!!
