Potentially dumb CW question - I'm hearing a POTA station send 44 at the sign off, like:
RR TU 44 73 E E
What does that mean?
Anybody have idea what this modulation is? 10.1547, sounds like garbled CW.
When waiting to jump into a pileup, and someone tunes up over the caller, does anyone else wait a while to jump in for fear of being confused for the rude tuner?
My Windows 11 machine at work just showed me the calendar view which you can see from clicking on the clock in the lower right hand corner... three full minutes after I tried and failed to access this unresponsive junk and used Outlook instead. It boggles my mind how awful the user experience has become. Was it trying to render the calendar using generative AI or something? WTAF, this machine has 32GB of RAM, a beefy processor, and a decent GPU.
It's on 28.275 if anyone is interested.
Listening to someone on 10m CW send "<callsign> ek 19mm" followed by a long tone over and over and over. It's a real callsign from MX operating with /b suffix. Any idea what this would mean?
QRP CW people - consider signing up for an impromptu Fall "Flight of the Bumblebees": https://ars-qrp.com/FOBB/FOBB.html
I signed up for the previous one, but my CW wasn't really ready yet. It still may not be, but I've at least been on the air a few times now, so here goes!
Adventure Radio Society 2024 Flight of the Bumblebees, Sunday, July 28
I got the first part of an exchange and then got tuned up on lol.
Trying to work up the courage to hunt a POTA activator on CW for the first time, but man... soon as I'm ready to jump in the QSB shows up.
Finally, laser cut PTO former with brass screw.
