because the macbook neo has an A18 Pro SoC & 8GB of RAM in it, apple should let me plug an iPhone Pro with the A19 Pro SoC and 12GB of RAM into a USB-C/Thunderbolt monitor and use it as a Mac - charge me a $200 Mac enablement fee if you have to
@rmondello does a code field appearing trigger Mail to refresh the inboxes? I always find I have to open Mail and refresh for it to work. (iCloud email). Whereas SMS works beautifully ❤️

Whenever I see posts about ultra performant zero copy JSON serialization libraries I get sad as it reminds me of the state we’re in with Swift.

Does Swift have the slowest JSON serialization among all languages out there?

(and most iOS apps basically just decode JSON to rows on a table)

I feel like Swift team will be busy with sendable for the next five years, so hard to imagine much improvement in this area.

@joe this is great to hear, even if I don’t fully understand it. I’m curious though why Kotlin doesn’t seem to have this issue but seems quite similar to Swift?

If KMP didn’t exist this might have a shot but there’s just no way any big company app switches to or uses this. There’s just no incentive for Apple for this long term.
