Emeritus Prof Christopher MayYou'll be unsurprised to learn that while 6.3% of top US Corporations have a female CEO, firms with a female CEO accounted for over 15% activist shareholder 'attacks' - which is to say a female CEO was over twice as likely to be the target of activist shareholder interventions in corporate governance & performance than their male counterparts (who remain, of course, the majority of targets).
Just a bit more evidence of misogyny in financial services.

RolloTreadway@ChrisMayLA6 This is an issue I've encountered at work. Healthy Life Expectancy is lower in our region than any other region in England, primarily because of respiratory illnesses, and the respiratory illnesses have their roots in mining and pollution and smoking.
But you can't fix those problems now. The northeast's industrial past is long gone. However, the healthcare burden it's left behind is not going to significantly decline for another twenty years or so. Funding services here at the same level as in places without these issues is inevitably going to create a shortage, and there's absolutely no way around this.
