Not a great photo but it does show what an annular eclipse looks like through a sun filter. This was taken at Padre Island Oct 14 around noon. The sun started as a crescent and gradually reached all the way around the moon as they moved into alignment.

Unlike a total eclipse, the annular eclipse doesn't produce full darkness - it's more like a dusky dark blue sky.
