@lukemaynard good plan!

If you’re from the Twitter #WritingCommunity and worried about losing contact with the people there, you can add your info to this Google sheet and check for others you know. Feel free to share with others from Book Twitter too.

Boost appreciated!

If you've ever thought about calling the Grammar Girl voicemail line with a familect story (the story of a word or phrase your family and only your family uses), now is a good time.

I'm low on stories to play on the podcast! 833-214-4474

You can also record a message online: https://sayhi.chat/grammargirl

Please call from a quiet place and be sure to tell me the story behind the word.

Here's more detail if you need it: https://www.quickanddirtytips.com/articles/whats-your-family-slang/

@jovial_cynic hmm not so much an exercise as some concepts and resources. Look into “emotional wound” and “goal, motivation, conflict.” These are really the heart of internal conflict and how they work with external conflict to create a story that really challenges and feels personal to your character

As one of the articles I linked to earlier pointed out, Twitter is like a public library, where Mastodon is more like someone's living room.

I'm really enjoying the different feel of Mastodon, but definitely will NOT be using it the same way as I do Twitter. Still listening & learning as I continue #LearningMastodon, esp the culture and history.
