Hartgen Consultancy was established with a mission to provide accessible training and usable software tools to individuals with vision loss and to the deaf Blind community. Our product offerings have and continue to significantly contribute to the employability and productivity of these communities.
The Leasey installer has now been modified to take a backup of any existing JAWS scripts prior to installing Leasey.
Prior to installation, a message box appears stating exactly where those scripts are being backed up to so they can be easily located.
In the event there is a difficulty with the installation, assistance can be then given to revert back to the previous installation and configuration of JAWS.
However, as stated in the documentation, if additional script files have been installed before Leasey, or extensive configurations made, it is worth checking to ensure there are not going to be any conflicts. Worse case scenario is that you can be assisted to merge any existing configurations into the Leasey product. It is always wise to check first. It is not going to cost you anything to ask.
In our Leasey training course today, we focused upon Leasey Sports and Games. A question was raised as to what support we can give for the Olympics next year.
We will do everything we can to ensure that the Olympics is supported, and it looks achievable.
I have been thoroughly enjoying some of the work that @hartgenconsult has done at my place of employment. If you are looking for somebody who knows assistive technology well, and want to do your work professionally in at home more effectively, definitely check them out!!!
For Leasey users who want to hear the ACB Convention coverage. All the stations are in the new radio directory, and this year, they have full titles: the stream numbers and the kind of information they contain. So you can easily listen with your favourite player. They are all under the Public Community and Speech category or you can search ACB. #LeaseyLove

Leasey has been updated to build 1072. Fixed a customer reported issue which could stop Custom Help from displaying and being created.
StationPlaylist upcoming Remote Studio product. As usual the developers of this application have been very responsive. All the requested accessibility improvements have been included, including the implementation of various components of the Studio API. This is essential so a user can determine how much time of a track remains, together with listener statistics etc. This is all working and the JAWS scripts can be adapted accordingly. This is excellent news and will mean that blind people can access it from launch.
Hi everyone. There is an issue at the moment with Leasey's ChatGPT interface when creating images from text descriptions. This is not functioning. It's definitely not a problem on our side. A support ticket has been submitted and hopefully we should have a resolution soon.
StationPlaylist. You may have heard that a new product is going to be available to coincide with the release of StationPlaylist 6.20 later this year.
This will allow a user to remotely connect to a copy of StationPlaylist Studio on a remote machine, perhaps located on a server, and carry out some operations including live broadcasting and other manipulation.
JAWS users will have access to this when it comes along as part of their subscription to the StationPlaylist scripts. The scripts have been produced to accommodate it. Discussions are in progress with the developers for some accessibility tweaks, but within the limits of what this application can do, we now have a fully working version with good quality JAWS access.
Leasey is updated to build 1071.
The command Leasey Key then I when used within Modern Notepad should now correctly report the total number of lines in the document.
That's all.
