Publications like this recently published "AI Index Report" (Stanford, Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, McKinsey) shape industrial policy.

Key 'AI' investment areas identified by them: healthcare, data/cloud, finance, cybersecurity, retail, industrial automation. Chatbots not so much.

@andrew @tnhh @LornaWoods @ghawkins @neil @revk @tony afair rules on contract formation are (sub-)national. English readers might look up Carbolic Smoke Ball. But we were talking about Data Protection law, which is entirely different. Though, since my premise was that saying "consent" doesn't provide information, I think we've made that point t quite well :)
