Asked how he felt when he heard that the Liberal Party would campaign “no,” Noel Pearson told ABC RN:

"I couldn’t sleep last night. I was troubled by dreams and the spectre of darkness the Liberal party’s Judas betrayal of our country.

They’ve had 11 years of power to work on a proper proposal for recognition and the decision they’ve taken yesterday is a very poor outcome over 11 years of power.

I see leader of the Liberal party, Mr Dutton, as an undertaker preparing the grave to bury Uluru."

Dutton's language, refering to '...rule by Canberra academics...' reveals what he (and his ilk) is really affraid of.

The proposed amendment to the constitution is clear and unambiguous, and worthy of our endorsement.:

In recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Peoples of Australia:

1. There shall be a body, to be called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.
2.The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice may make representations to Parliament and the Executive Government on matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
3.The Parliament shall, subject to this Constitution, have power to make laws with respect to the composition, functions, powers and procedures of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice."
