How it started: How it's going:

Not all writers have anxiety. Not all people with anxiety write.

But the crossover for me is strong and easily explainable.

Both focus on the ability to ask, "What If?"

Since figuring this out, I've started to see my anxious brain as the thing that also helps me create. It's my superpower and my weakness.

Whenever I can, I put my fears on the page. Where they belong.

My first attempt at uploading an image to Mastodon! I like how easy it is to add ALT text for the visually impaired. Also, so appropriate for this morning when I made the mistake of checking U.S. news before doing creative work.

Probably not a lot of people know this now, but Mastodon's web app started out with "Publish". In 2016 a famous YouTuber jokingly offered to support Mastodon's Patreon forever if I changed the button to say "Toot" instead. Needless to say, this was a really early, and not very informed decision. The first glimpse of attention and financial support. As a non-native speaker I had no idea there was another meaning.

Tide inspectors became mainstream after what was later called the "Great Tide Disaster".
People felt safe living near those things... until they were wiped out by the next "Great Tide", just a few years later. They provided nice tide increasing rates for the event, though.
Hello, this is me, the tooter formerly known as @[email protected]. I think we're all mostly here... there are a few bloops to come, it seems. (Moving causes a lot of bloops)
