The browser idea didn't go exactly the way I thought it would so I am in the midst of doing a rewrite -- I am thinking I may do migrate to NIM(rod) or Zig but I haven't decided yet. I want to avoid the C class of languages, if I can.

Been working on several projects at once. This is why my presence here have been rather scarce (at that is putting it mildly). I am still working on the browser but coupled with that a new OS and programming language, my time has been limited. As I've crossed one proverbial Rubicon with one project, I am aiming to accomplish the same with the other two. I'll do my best to be less of a stranger to all of you, but understand if you don't hear from me for a while. I hope everyone had a joyous holiday season and wish you all the best for 2026.
I realize it is has been a while since I've last offered an update. I have been working on trying to implement different scripting languages into the browser engine I've been working on for a few months.
Needless to say, that endeavor has been very challenging and that is putting it mildly. I am still pruning away on the JavaScript tech debt from 20+ years ago, and as one might expect, at some points it does tend to break the functionality of some websites.
Thanks to @networkchuck I've come up with a new conspiracy theory. The theory comes to us from halls of cinematic history.
The year is 1997, and inside a dot com lab somewhere in Northern California a single mother, introduced Kali Linux to a experimental ASI mainframe (14 years before it was officially released to the public).
This combination spurred a network take over of epic proportions, gaining access to civilian as well as military classified systems , thus allowing a ASI mainframe to come online and tries to destroy humanity.

If you work for a corporation that deals with any level of IT / development, perhaps now is a good time to stop commenting your code. Companies are now fine tuning LLMs to extract information from comments, making it easier to replace developers.
