From my project “The Stool”
My project focuses on bringing back the meaning of the image, in the era of the images.
We are so full of pictured of us, with friends, in silly poses, thousands of selfies lost in your archive, but how many of us took the chance to take a moment, celebrating the memory and importance of our image, our mirror.
The chance of saying “this was me” to your grandchildren.
No context,just a light, you and a stool.
Every of these portraits were taken with intention. Making the human aware of the importance of what was happening.
Some people came to me for fun, as a joke between friends.
And I smile and invite them to sit, and then I explain to them what this space is and what we are doing.
They still smile, but with a different light in their eyes.
