I love to crochet, still learning. I also love Doctor Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, K-Dramas, Marvel, House of the Dragon, movies, TV, books, comedy (particularly of the alt/awkward/dark varieties), memes, ‘80s and ‘90s and even ‘00s nostalgia, learning new things, & a lot more. I am getting married Sep 2023.

A pig sized elephant. No it isn’t a traditional mythical creature but it is fictional. I know pig and elephant DNA just won’t splice but if it could that is what I would want.

The other day my sister sent me pics of a poorly made extra large white teddy bear.
30 minutes later I come across these pics of an adorably dishevled white bear who just woke up from a nap on fb.
30 minutes after that I was watching a video and the guy giving the TED Talk said, “don’t think about the white bear.”
WTF is going on? What does this mean? Is it a good sign or should I be worried? Help!
I worry that the baby blanket I’m making is going to be too big, not as soft as I’d like, and not as easy to care for as I’d hoped. I feel like I should have abandoned it when I noticed the “machine dryable/lay flat to dry” confusion on the label…it says machine dryable but the symbol is lay flat to dry I emailed Lion and they said, “you can dry it in the machine but we recommend laying flat to dry.”
I was only 15 rows in then…now I’m past the halfway point. Too late to abandon now.

So my crow’s body looks smaller than the example but the beak looks bigger. Did I just crochet the body too tightly and the beak too loosely?

I just wanted to sarcastically say, “I understood the assignment.”
They are so wonky. Watched a video on the seamless amigurumi join before sewing on the skull’s teeth and really thought I did what she did but I clearly did not. Oh well, I’ll get ‘em next time.

How can you tell what a multi yarn is going to look like stitched up? Speckled, patterned, striped?
How do you know if the sections of a self striping yarn is going to be long enough for a blanket?
Still so confused about multicolored #yarn and yet I adore it.
