Doves are a symbols of peace. They never fight with other birds at the bird feeder, and they are beautiful just to look at.
Yesterday I had a dove on my window sill early in the morning, and I knew the day would be peaceful.
For this week's #journalprompt, think or write about symbols and how they show up in your stories.

This week's #journalprompt is about making observations. I took my camera around in Florida and took nature pictures. It's hard to capture a moment of an animal in motion but it's also a fun way to collect moments of what's happening around you.
This can be used in writing to set up the setting of a scene. If the mood is heavy, for example, dark clouds or thunder set the scene. For a lighter mood, sunshine and butterflies might be mentioned.
Enjoy these photos and have a good week #writing
This week's #journalprompt is about going somewhere else for a while... It can be in your imagination or getting into some vehicle and ending up somewhere else. This is my path for my next vacation. That star touches the places I plan to visit.
Of course, we can also take vacations from things. Right now I'm taking a break from social media, and I think that's what I need right now.
This week, think or write about how different surroundings affect you or your characters. #writingcommunity

What does trust mean to you? For this week's #journalprompt write or think about what it means to trust a person, a process, a system, yourself. Apply it to fiction if that's your focus, and explore how trust, and the lack of it, can influence relationships, stories, and lives.

Hubbs and I talked (well, laughed) about this the other day. Few things capture the mood of our early days (the 1970s) quite like airbrushed vans and the artwork they shared. Popular themes were: Star Wars, Merlin the Magician, and other album cover worthy art.

For this week's #journalprompt, write about details that put readers in a time and place. Include sights, smells, atmosphere, behaviors, and slang that shows the world that you're building.

This week I've revisited old versions of myself through the mechanism known as the shuffle button.
This can be a #journalprompt on several levels. It can be personal, pertaining to your own experience, or it can reflect a mood in a fiction story you're working on.
This week, put your music on shuffle and write about what thoughts come up as you move through your music catalog and the places you were, and the person you were, when you heard those songs for the first time.

Today's #journalprompt is about seeds. An acorn that a tiny squirrel could hold turns into a giant oak tree. Sprouts like the ones pictured (one's even still wearing its seed hat) will someday feed Monarch butterflies. Ideas and thoughts can turn into monumental things; in fact, everything you see around you was once an idea someone had.
This week, think or write about what seeds (literal or not) have sprouted in your life, or in a character's life.

Today's #journalprompt is #patience
How do you feel about having to be patient? What situations need patience in order for them to improve?
Here's my note about patience: I grew this plant from a seed. It traveled with me in a cooler on a multi-state move. I've put it in the sunshine and watered it for 5 years now. And finally, a bloom!
Speaking of new life, happy spring, Easter, and Passover holidays to those who celebrate.

"Eclipse" is an interesting word. It can be a noun or a verb. It can refer to an astronomical event or something else. If you follow astrology, eclipses are a sign of change.
I bought this shirt in NY when there to view one.
When it comes to writing fiction, something always has to change within a story, a character, and so forth. This week's #journalprompt is to select a character or event and write about what it was like, before and after a major change occurred.
