A follower just sent me this great photo of a cat clashing with a baby kangaroo "taken on my family farm in Perth West Australia sometime around 1970".

For #ThickTrunkTuesday, I'm posting a photo of moss-laden old growth trees that I took Sept. 2, 2022, at South Beach State Park, Oregon. We camped there with our 1986 Westfalia #Vanagon, in the campground south of the #Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport.

What I looked like as a teenager sitting in church: 😇✝️⛪️

What my brain was doing for 90 minutes: “What if I just stood up and yelled? Like right now, just ‘🧍‍♀️AAHHHHH’ and then sat back down? Ok I’m gonna do it on 3. One…two…THREEdammit I chickened out. Ok try again on 3.”

The only way to withstand the reality of this damn world is to let fiction into your life. Read stories and novels and manga. Play video games. Watch impossibly cheesy films. Embrace and love the imaginary even as you keep living the best life you can in our so-called reality.

Happy Holidays!
