Itâs ironic that GM decided to pull CarPlay and Android Auto in favor of their in-house infotainment systems only for their software to be so buggy that theyâve had to stop selling the Chevy Blazer EV until they fix the system.
Car companies are a great example of how culture eats strategy for breakfast. Itâs a smart strategy not to be dependent on Apple and Google for key software. But if you can't execute a transition to a software development culture then it's dumb.

Several years in the making, GitLab is now very actively implementing #ActivityPub! đ
https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/11247
The end-goal is to support AP for merge requests (aka pull requests), meaning git.alice.dev can send a merge request to gitlab.com/Bob/project.git
First bite-sized todo on the implementation path there is âsubscribe to project releasesâ.
Smart move by #GitLab; through ActivityPub theyâre getting a distributed version of GitHubâs social layer.
