I used to be @OpaqueClarity but got logged out. Infosec wouldn't send me a password reset so I made a new account.

I'm a #privacy enthusiast with zero interest in A.I.
Big fan of #GrapheneOS, #Fedora, and #foss

Not a fan of forums or the twitter-style sites such as mastodon and #Bluesky. #Lemmy is more to my liking.

Best way to absorb content is #rss. #Feeder is my app of choice.

I have no time for anti-science idiots.

PrivacyIs a fundamental human right.
HatredI never understood the need to hate an entire group of people.
PiracyIf the company can take away what you bought, piracy doesn't exist.

@kalvin0x8d0

Weird. I tested SimpleX with my phone and tablet (encase Signal pulls out of Canada). Very suitable for regular use in my not so humble opinion . Nothing complicated about the app.

@Netzblockierer

" don't believe for a second WhatsApp ever had E2EE at all.

Same for Signal ..."

LMAO.

@jijin I took advantage of the 50% off deal, thanks very much.

@kestral @iode

Looks like #slop

@Tutanota How does this work with Proxystore vouchers? They have vouchers for 19.50, 36, and 104 Euros while your Legend tier is currently 48 Euros a year. Thanks.
@philsawa You might want to look again. According to https://endoflife.date/pixel the 6's security updates end in October of this year.
Google Pixel

Check end-of-life, release policy and support schedule for Google Pixel.

@Tutanota

Once it goes public, has good reviews, and has an Android app, I'll upgrade my account. Exciting stuff.

Canada is about to weaken every lock on your private messages — dontsurveil.me

Bill C-22 would force every messaging app in Canada to build a second key, and give the copy to the government. What's changed, what's happening now, what's next.

@rhubber

Sometime in 2027 Motorola should be releasing a phone that will be compatible with GOS. A Moto may be easier to obtain than a Pixel.

@RichardAshwell

I have an app on my Android called Nearby Glasses. I keep forgetting to activate it when I leave the house.
Truthfully, I have no idea if the app even detects the glasses.
