Seven years ago, on Christmas eve, a frightened little pup, came to live with us. The family who bought her at seven weeks old decided, after three weeks, that they didn't want her.
We'd just lost our previous lab, Tilly, and I was desperate for another dog.
She was so nervous, but soon made at home by us and Pebbles, our six month old boxer.
She grew into the most loving dog. Recent photo by our friend @dribelad shows the wisdom in Islay's greying muzzle. Dogs are such angels ❤️

From this afternoon's short walk. Views from a bridge, crossing the River Sett near our home. Downstream looking natural and upstream showing the remains of the water management system for a long-gone water powered mill.

Bright morning in Hayfield. Followed one of our 4 mile running circuits and probably ran around two thirds. I no longer feel ill but the cough really is a bloody nuisance.

Islay gets irritated whenever we have visitors. This weekend it's our good friend Dale @dribelad. She perceives that there are no available places on the chairs or sofa, which are her rightful place.
Cos I'm soft, I just went up to our gear room to fetch her Woof Bag. She's happy now 🐕
