When humans feel powerless, especially after traumatic events or retraumatization or ~ gestures generally at C-PTSD ~ what often helps is having an area of control over choices, decisions, and outcomes (especially outcomes that have positive side effects like humans liking the action/work/result)

Today I learned: recent video cards (e.g. the Intel Irix Xe Graphics) often don't support color bit depth greater than 8 bit, and will do temporal dithering (flipping pixels rapidly to approximate a color).

Why. The. Fuck. Have. We. Rolled. Backwards.

The flickering is goddamn visible to me, my USB-C monitor *supports 24 bit depth* and I have to blame Intel for sucking donkey balls for making such a shit integrated graphics card in my laptop (13th gen i7-1370p)
