Getting close to peak fall colors here in the middle of the mitten.
Happy the rain let up for a bit so I could get my drone up before the leaves all fell for the season.
Sunset Stroll
Growing up in a small town, I never thought going to the beach to watch the sunset was a big deal.
As an adult, living an hour and a half from that town, I cherish the moments I have when we are able to just sit on the beach, listen to the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore, and enjoy the beauty of the sun disappearing into the water.
Mid-Michigan Sunrise
Check out the flames framing the neighbor’s windows!
Enjoying some evening outdoors while the weather still allows.
Four weeks to the day from when I had a funny tingling on my shoulder blade around to my pec. Went to be seen by a professional to make sure it wasn’t my heart. Took her two seconds to tell me I had shingles.
Four weeks later, the pain is mostly gone, but random nerve pain pops up, especially as the day goes on.
I am now a very strong advocate for getting the shingles vaccine when one is able to do so.
Here are some photos from this morning’s #gravel ride.
Time to rebuild my fitness.
I can verify, the CD was included!
Looking at the compatible versions of Windows, I feel it’s safe to say this thing probably sat on a shelf somewhere for quite a long time.
But, it did exactly what I needed it to do!
Had this little guy surprise me this morning. I was picking up a cover for the fireplace on our deck and there it was…just chilling.
I gently covered the fireplace, making sure to not disturb this thing any more, then sat there for a few minutes and admired the odd beauty of this magnificent little creature.
Reminder: when you are outside, take a few minutes to absorb everything around you. Put the phone down. Take the earbuds out. Enjoy nature as it is meant to be enjoyed.
Enjoying fall like temperatures (finally!) and sitting on our deck with the fire table lit. Playing around with Debian on my apple silicone mac (virtually).
After 2+ weeks of dealing with shingles, tonight's pain is at the lowest level in a long time.
Skinny Land. Fun place to practice riding skinnies with low risk if you fall off of the blocks.
Going through a rough patch health wise, so here I am, reminiscing and looking forward to getting back on a bike in the woods. (sooner rather than later.)
Photo taken while on a short walk with my son.
