Excellent article from Rick Morton about the failures of the NACC report into Robodebt. Rick literally wrote the book on Robodebt (it's called Mean Streak and it's great).

The tl;dr is that because of NACC's conflict of interest issues, the only person left at the Commission to do the report was an inexperienced deputy, who basically took Scott Morrison, Kathryn Campbell et al at their word when they said they didn't knowingly do anything wrong.

Morton doesn't say so, but it sounds like the findings were a foregone conclusion. They picked their scapegoats and it wasn't going to be the former PM and his crony.

The NACC robodebt report: A heartbreaking work of staggering incompetence

Rick Morton wrote the book on robodebt. He delivers a damning verdict on the NACC's long-awaited robodebt report, which exonerated Scott Morrison and Kathryn Campbell.

@zleap @compoundchem As a chemist Group IV would be carbon etc.. but that is me as an old chemist saying that. I notice that the groups are sometimes 1-18 and sometimes 1A,1B where carbon would be IVA and Ti would be IVB

@peggysanders.bsky.social Australia's Jewish community are Australians. Albo, as THEIR head of state, could have showed them compassion and solidarity not the head of state of another country who has overseen war crimes. The media and others can gaslight as much as they want but we all know the truth.
@gimulnautti The IOC should hang its head in shame.
