Today I found this planktonic foraminifera in a Turonian slab. It was sheared off by glaciers somewhere, transported and eventually dumped north of Berlin. Is it Archaeoglobigerina cretacea ? Foraminifera or just pseudofossil rock chips ???
I picked about 50 specimens from 10g of a disintegrated Jurassic shale. I think these are compressed agglutinated forams. Whats your opinion ? #foraminifera #microfossils #Jurassic #fossils #MarineLife #paleontology

I found several shallow water foraminifera as this Ammonia in a sand from the German Pre-Alps. They prove its marine origin from the Paratethys ocean. The Paratethys covered about 18mya ago vast areas north of the Alps. #foraminifera #MarineLife #fossils #microfossils #Miocene
