@miketheitguy agreed. Self reflection, honest self reflection, is probably one of the most difficult things I have ever engaged in. And it can't stop, it's a continuous path, covered in brush and thorns, but it's a journey that only benefits me, and in turn, those around me.
There is a Jewish term, Tikkun Olam, which means "repair the world," but to do so we must repair ourselves.
@miketheitguy I'm a white skinned, cis gendered Jewish male. Grew up with some racist family, identified as a self hating Jew for many many years. My last tour in Iraq, I worked with people from India as well as locals on work crews. Mind blowing, eye opening experience...
Just people, just more humans. So now I lean into that experience hard, correct people around me who decide to carry on (even unknowingly) racist/prejudiced speech/thought. Cost me some family ties, but I gladly keep going.
Once I moved here I parked my bird account. I see no reason to try to build content or connections there. Especially when most of the content I am looking for is filtered much more easily here.
@DelReid
I ended up on IOC.Exchange as it is part of the infosec realm. The rules are reasonable, and the admin/mod team are good.
So far all cross server discussion/interaction has been great too.

I'm glad I found infosec.exchange. being new to the infosec world, it's been a place I can seek out future peers and learn from them without sifting heavily through trash. Hoping to see the continued growth and progress.
