@BobTop My Mom used to have the full version of this. I'll try and remember to look around and see if I can find it.
@jmac Yes, that was one of the best ones. "G'nap! G'nap!" The infection spread when an infected smurf bit an uninfected one on the tail.
@RikerGoogling They used both. They were among the few in that place and time who actually did use firearms. Reloading was awful, though, so swords weren't at all replaced.
@chrisamaphone For me it's not quite either, but closer to "pupil".
@datarama Sceptre (https://www.sceptre.com/) still carries "dumb" TVs. The past two TVs I've purchased have been two of their not-smart sets and I've not had any problems.

@jmac The designer, Sandy Petersen, is probably my favorite board game designer. He's also studied more about Lovecraft than most, and was stoked to get "Call of Cthulhu" as a project. He's got some interesting videos on various Lovecraft topics, too: "The Rats in the Walls" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJ-dTgv6Zq4 "The Tcho Tcho" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqHPKX_Sc10 and of course "Was Lovecraft Racist?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLL037UiQhk

@jmac Cthulhu had very little name recognition in popular culture when that came out, and RPGs themselves were still very new. I suspect that they were trying to get the attention of some of the folks who might want to play vampire games and the like figuring that they'd not be disappointed.
@thomholwerda FrameMaker is great. I don't think there's yet a full replacement for it anywhere. Lots of apps do various things better, but nothing else comes close to touching its full feature set.

It's the weekend! It's also the FINAL WEEKEND before IFComp 2025 wraps! Remember to get those final votes in. Also, if you are in a position to do so and have not yet contributed to this year's Colossal Fund, we're just a bit short of our stretch goal. Thank you! Have fun!
