Northern wanderer.
The sea brings shells, sand, and apparently roses.

I don’t know who, what, or why, but style points to the sea regardless.
Lyme grass thrives by the sea and along salted roadsides. Other grasses falter on life's path. This one is a resilient fellow.

In Finland, darkness prevails from October to March. Nearly half a year of darkness.

As the amount of light increases, people are overtaken by a six-month-long mania.

Let us be prepared.

The 25 de Abril Bridge, which connects Almada and Lisbon, is an impressive sight. It was named in honor of the Carnation Revolution, which overthrew the authoritarian right-wing military junta.

One day, the bridge was shrouded in heavy fog.

The coal-fired power plant built in Hanasaari in the 1960s is being demolished.

In hindsight, the operation of a power plant that was harmful to both the environment and human health in the city center seems absurd, but times and thinking were different 60 years ago.

(The residents living opposite the massive coal pile are probably also pleased to see the eyesore removed.)

Merihaka is known for its concrete element buildings and multi-level traffic system, where pedestrians and vehicular traffic are separated on different levels.

The area’s urban planning principles were based on optimized space usage and high population density from the 1960s and 1970s. Merihaka divides opinions due to its massive and heavy appearance, evoking both criticism and admiration.

In the evening, Merihaka looks spectacular.

Isoisänsilta connects Helsinki's Mustikkamaa and Sompasaari.

This bridge is an urban dweller's gateway to nature. In the grey landscape, even the slightest hint of nature grounds, calms and evokes memories of when fisherman Viktor Wilhelm Wickman sat at Isoisänniemi, luring fish with his rod.
