Lightning ⚡️ near #PortAlberni but especially the east side! See it flashing over Mt Arrowsmith
#bcstorm

can't see the mountain. The Alberni Inlet Breeze is clearing the City of the smoke but it is also pushing it all around the Valley like a bowl.

The air is worse on the north and west side of the valley as the smoke gets trapped by the hillside.

@timstevens Hey Tim, sent you a message on X about December. Happens every year. lol! :)
@alberniweather if it’s above 5c in terms of variance, I’m going to convince @mike to make a sequel to the his favourite natural disaster movie “2012 “ 😂👍😎
@alberniweather You got any interesting data showing variances in temperatures for Port Alberni during El Niño vs when it’s not? I’m curious to see if it’s with in 1.5c to 5c. 🧐😁
@alberniweather “On hot, humid days in summer, particulate matter is more likely to stay in the air longer and cause reduced visibility. Paired with winds that stir up pollution, the increased moisture in the air may hold particulate matter aloft for several days at a time and cause a hazy appearance in the sky”. Sure feels muggy but the wind is helping. #alberni #alberniweather #portalberni
@alberniweather is it really this hot at my place? I’m over near QF in town off of Anderson. The thermometer is in the shade. 🤪
