Today is #ShowYourStripes day, 5 days before start of the 5th anniversary of the 2021 Heat Dome that killed over 600 in BC and culminated with most of Lytton burning. ⬇️Heating caused by fossil fuels like BC methane gas. Get your stripes showyourstripes.info/l/northameri... #bcpoli #bcwildfire

Visualising how the climate has changed for every country across the globe

Mother nature’s version of a double tap is a second wildfire at a town that was essentially burned off the map in 2021.

About the only good thing here is there are very few people impacted as most of the town has not been rebuilt yet despite all the initial hand ringing and nice words from BC politicians.

Very smoky smell in Nanaimo this morning and noticeable haze in the air. Doesn't seem to be from any local fires, so perhaps it is being drawn from fires in Washington state? Unclear.

Summer has begun a few days early, I guess. :(
