If I favorited your image post but didn't boost it, it's probably because you forgot to add alt text to the image.

I'm currently on Arena. I posted about it but the post seems to appear and disappear of its own accord. If you like, you can add me: Barishi B. Brushwagg#85103

@RethinkJeff oh heck, you're right. Oh well; I still have my weirdly effective Vesuvan Drifter/Worldly Tutor/Phage The Untouchable brew to dream about.
I've never much cared about Eldrazi thus far in my #MagicTheGathering career, but lately I find myself excited at the prospect of chucking Emrakul, The Aeons Torn into Agatha's Soul Cauldron to brew up a nice hot batch of Annihilator 6 for some Scathe Zombies. #MTGWOE

@Mcslapdash yes, Magic is one of the more complicated games out there, and the starter materials aren't always very helpful. The best way to learn is to play a few games with a friend who knows how to play, and have them teach you. In lieu of that, you could consider Magic: the Gathering Arena, the computer game version of Magic. It's a surprisingly effective way to learn how the game is played, and it's free (including some starter decks) unless you decide to buy more cards. Arena walks new players through basically everything, and what's more, it also automates a lot of the little details so you don't have to figure everything out before you can see how it works in action.

Whatever you choose, I hope you find a game you like! Good luck!

@RethinkJeff Haha, that'll teach me to skip the mana base when I'm looking at brews. I should have known as soon as I saw First Day, though.

Be sure to post again when you've settled on an initial decklist; I would love to hear about how it plays!

WHAT'S THAT! IT'S CHANDRA WITH A STEEL CHAIR!

@RethinkJeff I like it! I assume the goal is to drop one Grist and then mill out another and exile it with the Cauldron, making all your creatures into little planeswalkers that can then activate their +1 ability to swarm out even more creatures. Is that about the long and the short of it?

If so, have you thought about Consider (or other Surveil effects) in place of some of the scry-draw cards? Or am I totally off base here?

Also, always love to see Dragon's Rage Channeler in a deck like this. Great choice!

Turbo Grist • (Modern deck) • Archidekt

Modern deck (4) Artifact • (10) Creature • (11) Instant • (20) Land • (3) Planeswalker • (12) Sorcery

Archidekt

Ah, the classic: waiting for cards in the mail for the deck I want to play at FNM tonight. Will they arrive?

@LadyMarth01 absolutely fantastic album!

Album of the Day 18: Deep Politics by Grails

https://grails.bandcamp.com/album/deep-politics

Instrumental post-rock with a cinematic bent, bits of prog and psych blended in for unique and polished sound. "All the Colors of the Dark" is a cover of the giallo film of the same name's theme by Bruno Nicolai. "I Led Three Lives" slips in the melody of Blondie's "Call Me" in a wonderful new context.

My picks: "All the Colors of the Dark," "Deep Politics," "Almost Grew My Hair"
