I saved the poor pavoncella with a lot of thread! 🥰 now I'm trying out some trellises and other filling stitches to add to its body and it's surprisingly .. fun?!

I'm watching the new season of #Bridgerton so of course I got myself a Bridgerton inspired flower cup #embroidery 🥰
There's some flowers who are supposed to be made with 6 or even 12 strands 🤯 so I ordered some new needles to fit them all.

Just finished my first #crossstitch pattern by Riolis and loved it. Maybe I should have chosen something with less colours for the first try but the instructions were very easy to follow. Although I learned I really cannot count very well 😅 it was very forgiving so that I was able to improvise a lot without ruining the motif.

What surprised me is how different cross stitching is from my previous #embroidery experiences. It really is all about the colours that give you the feeling of shape. I think I might grow to like it! 💖

I wasn't going anywhere with my landscape #embroidery kit that had way too few instructions with it.

So i decided to start following Jen Goodwins Instagram videos instead which means I'm gonna try out new stitches for 52 weeks and make them into a little embroidery book.
I found the Ideal book measurements right on my shelf, bought some fabric and cut out the pages.
I already learned so much after completing only the first two weeks.
For the first three patterns I had only a wobbly plastic thingy for keeping the distances between the threads. For the last one (first on the photos) I cut up an old postcard which was way better to get a good pattern, so there's already a lot of progress. None of it is perfect but I'm having so much fun arranging the colours and can't wait to see what else there will be in my book in the end!🥰

TIL that #landscapeembroidery is a completely different thing than the flower #embroidery I was doing 😅
It's a little bit overwhelming, having the whole drawing but too few instructions for the little experience I have. But I did my best with the tree and I know the other trees will already look a little better 🥰
